Our client is a multinational gold and silver mining company based in Central Kalimantan.
Tax Manager – Balikpapan
(Kalimantan Timur – Balikpapan)
Requirements:
* Hold Bachelor or Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation (preferably taxation)
* Experience in taxation field for minimum of 10 years
* Experience in working with and communicating with the ITO
* Obtained brevet A, B and C certificate
* Experience in mining company or tax consultant firm is preferable
* Willing to be resident in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan
Responsibilities:
* Job Summary:
* Checking and review vendors’ invoices to determine tax treatment:
o Prepare yearly tax report
o Co-ordinate preparation of monthly tax report (VAT and Income Tax)
o Prepare monthly tax payments
o Prepare report and payment for annual land and building taxes.
o Prepare royalty payment
o Co-ordinate preparation of monthly reconciliation of tax accounts in GL with tax report
o Co-ordinate preparation of VAT invoice
o Manage tax audits, objections and appeals
o Co-ordinate preparation of VAT overpayment claim to ITO on monthly basis
o Liaise with ITO through correspondence and meetings to address any tax related issues
o Liaise with auditors regarding taxation matters
o Liaise with taxation regarding company taxation matters
o Co-ordinate collection and maintenance of prepaid tax evidence
o Visiting site as required to ensure site systems and practices maximize ability of company to recoup tax overpayments from ITO
o Liaise with regional ITO offices to ensure vendor non payment issues are minimised
