PT Kaltim Prima Coal engages in the mining and sale of coal for domestic and international customers from various industrial sectors. The company offers high volatile bituminous coal and sub-bituminous coal.

The company was incorporated in 1982 and is based in Sangatta, Indonesia with representative offices in Jakarta, Samarinda, and Balikpapan. As of October 10, 2003, PT Kaltim Prima Coal operates as a subsidiary of PT Bumi Resources Tbk.

01. ENGINEER – MECHANICAL
(Fixed Term position)

• S1 qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university with 2 – 3 years’ experience.
• Preferable has experience in Heavy Equipment Maintenance and understanding of equipment reliability.
• Project & Contract Management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skill to establish good relations.
• Knowledge and ability to implement KPC safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of products on the market to improve equipment performance.

02. GEOLOGIST
(Fixed Term Position)

• Graduate Geology (S1) from a recognized tertiary Institution with 3 years experiences in geology exploration / mining.
• Good understanding of the quality and properties of the coal.
• Extensive software skills such as MS Project, MS Access and MS Excel.
• Have driving license – SIM A and off road driving experience.
• Good Interpersonal and Communications skills in booth Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Common sense basic bush/jungle survival skills.

03. ENGINEER – MINING
(Fixed Term position)

• Bachelor Degree (S1) in Mining Engineering.
• Extensive experience and proven skills in mine planning tools and field experience, or in associated high level long term planning roles. As a guide, three (3) years plus experience should be used.
• Excellent skills in computing and data analysis programmers.
• Having experience in using MINEX software.

04. SPECIALIST – COMPETENCY MANAGEMENT
(Fixed Term Position)

• Tertiary degree (S1) in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Three (3) years relevant experience in competency modeling, competency assessment, assessment tools development, employee development, and competency system
• Knowledge of up-to-date human resources and competency management issues
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and time management competencies
• Interpersonal and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
• Presentation and facilitation skills.

05. SPECIALIST – ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
(Fixed Term Position)

• Tertiary degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Industrial Engineering or other related disciplines and 3 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of up-to-date human resources and organisational development issues.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and time management competencies.
• Interpersonal and communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Presentation and facilitation skills.

06. SENIOR ENGINEER – MECHANICAL
(Fixed Term Position)
• Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• As a guide, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction project and/or bulk handling and/or mining environment.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in implementing Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) by managing a number of large-scale projects.
• Detailed understanding of mining industry.v • Good knowledge in Mechanical Standards and Codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong concerns for HSES.

07. ENGINEER – CIVIL
(Fixed Term Position)

• Bachelor Degree (S1) Civil Engineering.
• 3 years relevant experience in wide variety of civil projects.
• Sound problem solving and decision making competencies.
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to influence and deal with a diverse range of personnel.
• Sound project management competency.
• Mastering to software of Structure Analysis Program, AutoCAD 2D, MS project, Excel, program Plaxis is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication. Skills in both English and Indonesian, to liaise with internal and external contacts.

08. ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL (CONTROL)
(Fixed Term Position)

• Bachelor Degree (S1) Electrical or Physic majoring in Control system or Instrumentation.
• Min 3 years’ Experience in Electrical / Control System / Automation.
• Experience and familiar with related standard (ISA, IEC, IEEE, AS, PUIL).
• Hand On experience in PLC programming and SCADA programming.
• Extensive knowledge of field devices, sensors and actuators, industrial data communication, motors and variable speed drives.
• Sound problem solving and decision making competencies.
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to influence and deal with a diverse range of personnel.
• Sound project management competency.
• Financial skills to handle project and budget responsibilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication. Skills in both English and Indonesian, to liaise with internal and external contacts.
• Strong concerns for HSES.
