Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mine covers an area of 30 km2 that falls under the sixth generation of Contract of Work (Cow) covering a total area of 1,639 km2.

The resource base on 31 December 2016 includes 7.5 Moz of gold and 67 Moz of silver. Production was commenced at Martabe on 24 July 2012. The operating capacity of Martabe Gold Mine is 4.5 mtpa ore to produce in excess of 250,000 oz of gold and 2-3 Moz of silver per annum.

PT Agincourt Resources engages approximately 2,300 employees and contractors, more than 98% Indonesians, of which 72% were recruited from South Tapanuli and other regions in North Sumatra.

To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. University degree in technical disciplines of Mining, Environmental, Geology, Civil, or Communications and Law.
2. Minimum 10 years experience of working in the extensive relations with regional government in mining industries.
3. Knowledge on the applicable laws & regulations of the Republic of Indonesia especially related to mining.
4. Having good knowledge and understand mining operation, mining environmental and in general best mining practises as well as government administration and services
5. Good analytical thinking to solve the problem, good communication and negotiation, good report writing skills both in Bahasa Indonesia and English
6. Knowledge of integrated computer systems (MS Word, Excel and Power Point).
7. Have a strong leadership and ability to work as part of team
8. Have a good, strong and professional personality with ability to easily adopt with changing government environment
9. Have a good networking in Indonesia Mining Industries
10. Have a good supervision function and plan development to the subordinates

This position will be based at Martabe Site within Permitting & Government Relations Department, working on schedule 4 Weeks on; 2 weeks off and reports directly to the Manager Permitting & Government Relations.

The Role of the Superintendent Permitting & Government Relations is to ensure that the permitting required to the Mine Operations is in place within time planned, to ensure and maintain the company keeping good and professional relationship with the Government, and to ensure the company is in compliance with the Government of Indonesia rules & regulations especially related to the company obligations as stated in PT AR COW. The failure to achieve permitting within time planned will impact to company’s continuity operation/activities, legal implication, and also can result in the Company’s financial loss. This position is responsible to facilitate day to day communication and coordination between user department within PT Agincourt Resources (PT AR) and the Government in a good and professional manner, included to organise and supervise subordinates to run Government Relations activities, within time planned, budget and refers to company’s policies.
