Postdoctoral Researcher in Enhanced Oil Recovery
(Ref EOR) 1 year fixed-term

We are seeking to recruit a Post Doctoral Researcher based at our Schlumberger Dhahran Carbonate Research Center (“SDCR”) facility in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. SDCR carries out fundamental and applied research directed towards new products and services for improving the efficiency of hydrocarbon recovery operations cost-effectively, safely and without harming the environment.
Applicants should have a strong background in research studies related to EOR including knowledge of reservoir fluid characterization, core flooding and miscibility measurement, asphaltene precipitation and data interpretation. Applicants should have laboratory skills and be capable in planning, designing and executing research projects in Water, CO2 and Chemical flooding and surfactant evaluation.
Fundamental knowledge of surface chemistry and reservoir simulation using Eclipse is an advantage. We are seeking self-motivated candidates who enjoy taking considerable individual responsibility and initiative. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering or a related field. We are aiming for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible in 2010.
