Senior Corrosion Engineer (Ref: EP1004847)
(Others – U.A.E.)
Responsibilities:
# To carry out corrosion control activities and contribute to static equipment corrosion monitoring.
# To provide recommendation/support in the corrosion and metallurgical related issues in connection with subsurface structures, pipelines, to topside process facilities.
# Maintenance of the Installation Corrosion Monitoring and Mitigation policies.
# Ensure that material failure investigation and root cause analysis are carried out where considered necessary and that any implication with respect to integrity is reported accordingly.
# Revision of all Inspection strategies with respect to corrosion related issues.
# Classification of corrosion loops in plant
# Assess RBI team with the required knowledge in assigning degradation mechanisms relevant to equipment operational environment.
# Maintaining the integrity of Hydrocarbon pressure envelope and associated structures.
# Must be familiar with risk assessment, monitoring and inspection procedures for equipment.
# Must be familiar with the Inspection and Corrosion Management business processes.
# Must have good technical skills to provide solutions, act as advisor when expertise is required on corrosion problems.
# Must be fully conversant with all aspects of the application (s) technologies, development techniques, and operating system being used.
# Reports to Inspection Department Manager.
# Interacts on a daily basis with colleagues in Plant Improvement, Plant Availability departments and the Operations personnel to discuss corrosion related issues. Sometimes interacts with vendors and contractors.
# Carries out corrosion studies results and gives recommendations. Aims to measure the equipment performance against per specified technical parameters and limits. Reports complex problems to Department Manager. Follows the policies and guidelines of the Plant Improvement Function.
# Performance is reviewed by Inspection Department Manager.
# Based at the plant location. Spends a lot of time in and around the plants to verify the corrosion loops and potential corrosion areas. Is exposed to plant conditions and weather extremes.
Requirements:
# Experience in a Corrosion/Materials environment and relevant experience within the oil and gas production industry
# Graduation degree or equivalent technical or science discipline qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Petrochemical, Chemical) . Specialized training in inspection, corrosion prevention and cathodic protection, preferably in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
# Good speaking and writing knowledge of English.
# With minimum 8-10 years work experience in this field.
# Report writing experience with strong attention to details.
Design Draftsman (Ref: EP1004846)
(Others – U.A.E.)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for multi discipline design & drafting assignment i.e. E & I, Civil & Structural, Process and Mechanical / Piping etc. Works related to PMPs and other special assignments starting from study or conceptual design till execution and final As-built close out. Also to ensure that assigned design drafting works for Plant Modification Projects (PMP) and other special assignments are executed according to Company CAD Procedures, Guidelines, specifications and relevant international codes & standards.
• Mainly responsible for creating / updating design documents related to plant modification projects & other special assignments.
• Provides design and drafting works to the discipline engineer(s) for study, design or construction packages related to the plant modification projects for review / comments.
• Updates & makes sure that comments of the discipline engineer(s) and field changes are incorporated in the relevant interfaces drawings for PMP related As-built drawings / documents.
• Prepares as-built drawings / documents, obtains signatures from the discipline engineer(s) / manager and handover to document controller for EDMS updates.
• Updates PDS model (Plant Design System) as required for Electrical raceways, Instrumentation and control assemblies.
• Updates the Inst. & Control drawings / documents using In-tools applications.
• Updates & provides all PMP related Electrical design drawings / documents such as cable routing, cable schedule, earthing / lighting / small power layouts & wiring diagrams, single line diagram, etc.
• Updates & provides all PMP related control / Instr. design drawings / documents such as loop& logic diagram, DCS & ESD Marshalling cabinet wiring and PI&D diagrams, .etc.
• Able to assist producing design drawings & drafting work for other engineering field such as civil structural, architectural & underground services, isometric, MTO etc.
• Coordinates with different E&I Engineer(s) for interfaces works and prepares the design drafting documents for related PMP or other special assignment.
• Work closely with Project Engineers to carry out work assignments in accordance with established policies and professional engineering standards.
• Responsible for all Microstation design drawings generations as required by Company also for setting up and mounting the Drawing or File registers for QA / QC purpose.
• Good working knowledge of relevant international codes & standards for engineering & project.
• PC Literate in MS Windows, Excel, MS Office and project related software.
Extensive Interfacing required as follows:
a. Design Office Team Leader For Project guideline, schedule, plan & distribution
b. Discipline Engineers For inputs / comments/ approval
c. Maintenance / Outsourcing For information / updates
d. Operations & Process support For inputs / status feedback / update
e. Document Supervisor For update / documentation in EDMS
# Report to the Design Office Team Leader, Work is subject to review and directions.
# No supervisory responsibility.
# Based at the Production Plant site. Spends 70% of the time in office a/c environment for designing and drafting work. 30% of the time required to undertake site visits for assign projects with exposure to plant condition and prevailing weather.
Software:
• Microstation J or 8i version.
• Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)
• Smart Plant Instrumentation SPI-Intools
• Documentum for Electronic data Management System (EDMS)
• Visio Technical
• Office packages (Word, Excel, Power point & MS Access)
Requirements:• Technical qualification HND or HNC Diploma / Vocational training Certificate in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical & Instrumentation “Draftsman-ship”.
• 1 to 2 year of on job or CAD training institution certificate.
• 8-10 years working experience as Design Draftsman for designing & detailing. Min 4 yrs. working experience on Microstation, PDS / Intools / Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL) etc. in the field of Oil / Gas / Petrochemical Industry project work.
• Good working knowledge familiar with Design & Drafting general practices. Also familiar with international codes / standards etc.
• Shall be fluent in English (Written / Spoken) and having good communication & interpersonal & analytical skills. Team work and across functions / disciplines.
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Team work within the team / across departments and proactive approach to problem solving.
