Principal Mining Hydrogeologist – Denver, Colorado or Tucson, Arizona
Based in Denver or Tucson, you will manage the largest projects of our office and projects that have a high level of risk or complexity in the mining sector.
Requirements
* BS in Civil Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, Geology or other Earth Science related field, MS or PhD a plus
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering or Earth Sciences
* Solid understanding of principles and practice of mine hydrology and mining geochemistry issues
* Track record managing large projects in mining hydrogeology
* Minimum of 6 years of Project Management Experience involving direct client interaction
* Must have a second domain of expertise
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of technical experts (hydrogeologists, geochemists, modelers, project engineers, and field technicians) for our large mine hydrology projects
* Take a leading role in business development and client relationship management
* Plan, execute, and supervise field programs for groundwater studies and EIA’s in mining
* Oversee groundwater characterization studies for open pit and underground mine developments
* Manage the development of site-wide water management solutions throughout the life cycle of a mining project, from the initial planning stages through the operating phase to site closure
