Graduate Engineer Position

AnDigestion operates the largest centralised biogas plant IN THE UK at Holsworthy in Devon. The plant processes municipal and industrial food waste to produce methane gas which is converted to electricity on site and exported to the national grid. Continued expansion of the Holsworthy plant together with new developments across the country have led to the need for an engineering graduate to help manage new installations. As part of a small team, the role will involve a varied workload and a high degree of responsibility.

The principal roles will include:
* Liaison with the appropriate regulators and utilities operators such as the HSE, Environment Agency, DEFRA, local authorities and electricity network operators.
* Writing and evaluating method statements and risk analyses.
* Project planning and implementation.
* Ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly with regard to CDM regulations.
* Contractor management.

The role will be based in the central Bristol office but will involve a substantial amount of travelling to sites, initially at Holsworthy and Cambridge, but potentially across the country, to manage installation and commissioning.

The applicant should have a degree in engineering and a sound basic knowledge of all engineering disciplines. Some experience of project management, particularly within the energy or water industries would be helpful but not essential. Experience of CDM regulations would be a great advantage as would NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications although full training can be arranged for the right candidate. The role will require a strong personality with a genuine interest in renewable energy and a great attention to detail. The right applicant has the opportunity to join a small team in a market leading company and to make a meaningful, practical contribution to the development of sustainable resource management in the UK.

The salary on offer is between £20,000 and £30,000 depending on experience. Other benefits include a company car, generous contributory pension scheme and medical insurance.
