Our Client, a Nickel Mining Company is looking for the position:
GEOTECHNICAL MANAGER – KALIMANTAN
ACCOUNTAIBILITIES :
* Develop and maintain the slope dewatering system
* Engage geotechnical specialist consultants as required and pass on their recommendations to management as appropriate.
* Set up and develop the GE Department to be able to provide the necessary geotechnical input for the safe operation of the mine and to operate and maintain the monitoring systems
* Provide sound geotechnical advice to planning and operations personnel that ensure the integrity of the mining operations from a slope stability perspective
* Develop and maintain slope monitoring systems that will reliably inform operating personnel of impending slope instability
QUALIFICATION :
* Computer skill in MedSystem & MineSight or Mincom, Geo-Slope/W and AutoCAD
* Excellent in English both oral & written
* Knowledge in rock/soil mechanics, coal modeling and groundwater modeling
* Degree in Geology or Geotechnical
* At lease 10 years in open pit coal mining
* Experience in coal mining feasibility study project
