Senior Petroleum Engineer
As Senior Petroleum Engineer within Chevron Australia’s Non Operated Joint Venture Team you will work on both producing and non-producing assets. The sucessful candidate will be required to build relationships with a diverse group and effectively plan and manage their time to ensure milestones are achieved.
Key skills and experience required:
* Sound petroleum engineering background gained from previous experience in a similar role
* Solid reservoir simulation experience with advanced knowledge of ECLIPSE software
* Competent in developing resource/reserves estimates and credible production profiles for business/strategic planning and economic evaluation of alternative development concepts
* Ability to initiate and manage petroleum engineering workflows including uncertainty analysis
* Computer literacy and advanced user of the following software: Outlook, Word, Excel, Crystalball, Powerpoint, MSProject and Adobe
* Expert user of the IPM suite of software; MBAL, PVTp, PROSPER, GAP & RESOLVE
* Effective communication, teamwork, interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to multitask, prioritise and consistently deliver high quality results under pressure
* A focus on operational excellence and an incident and injury free environment
The successful candidate will:
* Prepare and coordinate subsurface programs
* Deliver independent production forecasts, reserves assessments & associated internal project assurance deliverables
* Prepare production forecasts and volumetric estimation of hydrocarbon resources and reserves
* Perform integrated reservoir simulation studies
* Conduct pressure volume temperature (PVT) analysis and equation of state modeling (EoS)
* Conduct reservoir surveillance, analysis and optimisation
* Coordinate field development studies
* Design well test programs and perform pressure transient analysis
* Contribute to Prospect evaluation, risk analysis, economics and decision analysis
* Ensure effective representation of Chevron during joint venture technical meetings
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team which includes facilities engineering, drilling, Earth science, petroleum engineering, and commercial professionals
* Ensure good capital stewardship by performing appropriate level of technical due diligence on technical work and project proposals
