Overview of Position:
Chevron Australia has a rewarding opportunity for a Contracts Administrator to join the Supply Chain Management team. Reporting to the Contracts Advisor, this challenging role will be responsible for providing efficient and timely contracts management support to the team. This is a two year fixed term employment contract based in our Perth office.

Position Details:

Key skills and experience required:

# A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the oil and gas or resources industry working on major capital projects
# Proficient in MS Office Suite, in particular Excel
# Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
# Ability to work both independently and in a team, receiving moderate supervision
# Ability to proactively support continuous improvement measures to deliver clear efficiencies and cost benefits
# Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with diverse groups of people
# Previous experience, understanding and appreciation of the complexity of interface between major resources projects and the local community
# Flexibility, adaptability and capacity to take on new challenges and think creatively
# Excellent problem solving skills with the initiative to manage and support change as required
# A commitment to Chevron’s values of safety, partnership and integrity

Key responsibilities include:

# Administer supplier qualification, vendor setup in the system, insurance tracking, bidding, eProcurement and other contract management administration activities
# Support the contract management and contract administrations process
# Support and build relationships with department and business unit colleagues
# Support the communication and implementation of contracting processes and procedures
# Analyse data and prepare reports, commentary and presentations to support contract advisors, category managers, and contract owners/users
# Proactively identify and propose solutions for contracting process and procedure related issues
# Provide input into project based assignments that improve work efficiency within the Contracts team
# Commitment to health, environment and safety and Chevron best practices
