We are presently seeking a professional to provide support to the application of the Operation Excellence Management System, across Refining and provide a range of services to the Caltex Refining Business Unit.
In this pivotal role you would be responsible for ensuring the planning, development & implementation of ‘fit for purpose’ Safety Management Systems is rolled out effectively within our Kurnell refinery. This is a highly visible role that covers process safety management & safety case management, capital project planning and importantly, day-to-day oversight of all operations and maintenance activities to ensure the refinery safety systems are applied effective and efficiently.
Effective execution of this role will ensure the refinery identifies opportunities to improve its safety systems performance. The role monitors refinery performance via investigations, field feedback and governance to identify system improvement opportunities. The role networks with aligned industries seeking best practice learnings to build and strengthen our existing systems effectiveness, especially the application effectiveness of our systems.
As this role is essential to the delivery of robust & effective systems of management required by OH&S legislation and required for effective capital stewardship and operational effectiveness it is essential that the successful candidate is tertiary qualifications in Science, Risk or process or mechanical engineering, supported by significant experience in operations / operations support roles.
Your sound knowledge of legislative based instruments of risk management (OH&S and MHF legislation) and a working knowledge of risk engineering & risk management concepts will see you succeed in this highly sought after position.
